Potrero Chico

Getting There
El Potrero Chico is located next to the town of Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Mexico. The closest airport is Monterrey International (MTY). From the airport, the drive to Hidalgo is about 1–1.5 hours. The road is paved, safe, and easy to follow, and most people arrive by rental car, private shuttle, or taxi.
Where to Stay
While climbing in El Potrero Chico, most climbers stay in campgrounds or small guesthouses right at the entrance of the canyon. Popular options include campgrounds with cabins, shared rooms, and simple rooms with kitchens. Prices vary, but everything is walkable to the climbing.
