Help us continue developing climbing in Mexico. With your donation, you’ll be contributing to the installation of stainless-steel bolts for a new climbing route in El Salto — one that you’ll have the honor of naming for posterity. Part of your donation will also go toward maintaining the existing climbing routes.
Once the route has been equipped, you’ll receive a photo of it along with its GPS coordinates, and your chosen name will be included in The El Salto Climbing Guidebook in its next edition, as well as on various online platforms.
Route names must follow these rules:
Names must not be offensive or disrespectful toward any person or group.
The name must not already exist in El Salto or its surrounding areas.
No profanity.
Must be written using the Latin alphabet.
No trademarked or copyrighted names.
Avoid using names already taken by iconic routes in Mexico to prevent confusion.
Avoid excessively long names (recommended max: 30 characters).
No explicit references to religion or politics.
No names that encourage dangerous behavior.
The name should be easy to pronounce in both Spanish and English, given El Salto’s international visitors.
We reserve the right to deny the route name, and ask for a different one.
